Introduction to Lyrical Ballads (by Wordsworth and Coleridge)

I wrote an introduction to Wordsworth and Coleridge’s 1798 version of Lyrical Ballads for Coffeetown Classics.  Lyrical Ballads is a landmark text in the history of English poetry.  It helped launch and define the English Romantic period.

My introduction describes the “social justice” aspects of the book.  It focuses on poems about prisoners and destitute characters.
