Presentations for Student Groups

I can speak at graduation and convocation ceremonies, student orientation, student clubs, workshops, and other student events. My topic is usually about my academic journey from southeast Europe and my experience in re-learning English (after living outside of the United States for several years as a young boy) and succeeding through high school, college, graduate school, and my academic career. I can also speak about student leadership experiences, leadership skills, study strategies, online learning, educational technology, service-learning, and other topics in higher education.

Testimonials from Past Presentations:

Lirim talked about obstacles and how he overcame them and he also shared what it was like being a first generation student. Many students identified with his message … Lirim was so down-to-earth, so approachable, and offered many useful strategies. … Lirim’s presentation was identified as the most influential (of the guest speaker series). And Lirim was willing to continue to network with and mentor students … even beyond his presentation.
— Director of Institutional Diversity, University of St. Francis (Joliet, IL)

I observed Mr. Neziroski teach a writing class. Lirim’s lesson included reading, writing, discussion, and revision. … The students came from a broad range of cultural and economic backgrounds. … The students engaged well, especially female and minority students. The majority of students interacted, and they obviously felt like their ideas were included.
— English Professor, Black Hawk College (Moline, IL)
